I tried the new no needle lip filler technique but it went really wrong

A WOMAN has revealed that she tried a new no needle lip filler technique, in the hope of getting a plump pout, but she was left totally stunned when she saw the result.

Cindy Ruth Rodriguez, from Miami, explained that when she left the beauty salon, she noticed that her lips were heavily swollen and bruised.

Taking to TikTok to show off the results of the beauty procedure, she posted a video under her account's username @cindyruth5.

At the start of the clip, we saw the beauty fan getting the no needle lip filler procedure done.

She wore a hair bonnet and the practitioner used a special tool to plump her lips.

The no needle treatment involves using a Hyaluronic Pen, also called a Hyaluron Pen, to add volume to your lips and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles — without the use of a needle.

The Hyaluron Pen uses pressure technology to inject the hyaluronic acid filler liquid into certain areas of the skin such as the lips, forehead, and smile lines.

With the pressure technology, the hyaluronic acid transforms into microscopic particles that can be inserted into the epidermal and upper dermal layer of the skin.

But seconds later, Cindy filmed herself as she had returned to the car, showing off the result.

Much to Cindy's surprise, her lips were extremely swollen.

But not only this, her top lip was left bruised and purple.

She said: "High key I passed out when I saw my lip."

Cindy later confirmed: "I wore a face mask for one day and the swelling went down super quick!"

Cindy's clip has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has amassed a staggering 1.4million views.

It has 14.4k likes, 394 comments, 861 saves and 805 shares.

One person said: "It looks painful!"

Another added: "Yeah that's why you should leave that alone, be yourself, everybody wasn't made to have full lips, you were already cute."

At the same time, many pointed out the dangers of the Hyaluronic Pen treatment.

One user posted: "That pen should be taken off the market!"

A second chimed in: "I did this and ended up in the ER, never again!"

A third agreed: "This is why you don't do the hydro pen."

Whilst someone else claimed: "Because this method is high pressure and damages blood vessels. Sorry that happened."

According to the Aesthetic & Dermatology Center, The Hyaluron pen touts that the device is non-invasive and painless for patients, however, this is not true.

Considering the pen forcefully pushes hyaluronic acid into the lips, experts claimed that it is unfair to call the device "non-invasive."

The device's intense pressure can cause more severe problems like blocked blood vessels, permanent skin necrosis, swelling, bruising, and lumpiness.

In some cases, the air pressure is not enough to surpass the superficial layer of the lip. This may deliver the drug to the wrong part of the lip and may cause a puffy and uneven appearance.

Another danger to these pens is the lack of research surrounding their use.

These pens are new and unsafe, and there is a lack of research surrounding the permanent or long-term side effects.
